OLED’s:

Organic Light Emitting Diodes will revolutionize the way in which the world thinks about display, lighting and signage applications. An OLED is an electronic device made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. OLED’s do not require backlighting. These properties result in thin, very compact light sources or displays. Compared to LCD OLED’s have a wider viewing angle, require very little power, faster response time for full motion video, lighter weight and greater durability.
